Lighting and creative movement of the lens are at the heart of Mark Chamberlin’s passion. A sought-after cinematographer, Mark has been invited into the homes of international celebrities and to places where few ever get a chance to experience; crawling through ancient aqueducts below Jerusalem, flying in the Presidential Helicopter Marine One and peeking behind the facade of the highly guarded world of Disneyland. For more than 25 years, he has visualized stories from ancient history and far away cultures: Cairo, Le Paz, Kyoto, Athens and Rome.
While working in the high pressure world of Network News and Entertainment, Mark developed a skill for telling stories with limited time, alongside world-class journalists like Dan Rather, Diane Sawyer and entertainment icon Oprah Winfrey.
Mark has also directed the lighting of national commercial spots for BMW, Coca Cola and American Express.
With his gifted eye, Mark is always seeking fascinating and innovative ways to move the camera and capture beautiful images. His newest passion is flying the camera by RC helicopter (UAV/Drone) and by long lengths of suspended cable, allowing beautiful, controlled low altitude cinematography for documentary filmmaking.
