Gail Grasso is an award-winning television professional with extensive experience as a supervising producer, show producer, field producer/director and television interviewer/talk show host.
She is a Co-Founder and Executive Producer of the Chicago-based video production company, Story Buzz Media, which produces premium content for television and the web. Gail was also an Executive Producer for the award-winning web series, Disney Citizen Kid.
From 1998 to 2011, Gail was a senior field producer at The Oprah Winfrey Show, where her job responsibilities included supervising field producers; planning, researching and producing location shoots; working directly with Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Oz, Gayle King and other talent; interviewing guests; writing tape pieces and show scripts; directing field crews and supervising edit sessions.
Career highlights at Harpo Studios include iconic moments and some of the highest-rated shows: Oprah’s Car Giveaway, Live at the Oscars, An Exclusive Tour of Ralph Lauren’s Ranch and The Wildest Dreams Tour. Gail produced Oprah on location when Elizabeth Smart returned home to her family and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina with Anderson Cooper. Gail's experience includes producing in international locations such as Oprah in Australia, Oscar de la Renta in the Dominican Republic and The Vancouver Winter Olympics.
In 2011, Gail was awarded the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ prestigious Honors Award for the Oprah Winfrey Show episode - 200 Adult Men Who Were Molested Come Forward.
Other national credits include The Queen Latifah Show, The Anderson Cooper Show, ABC News – All Media Group and O Magazine. Previous experience includes hosting television and talk/interview shows in Boston, Seattle, Nashville and West Palm Beach.
Becky LiscumWith a strong creative and technical background in television and video production, Becky draws on her experience from both sides to execute challenging multi-cam field remotes to intimate and rare sit down interviews with political luminaries, celebrities and extraordinary families. As a principal of Story Buzz Media, she was an Executive Producer of the Disney Interactive series Citizen Kid: Disney.com/citizenkid. She collaborates with clients to integrate marketing strategies seamlessly into exceptional episodes of branded content. Her work, along with Executive Producer Gail Grasso has earned the duo six Telly Awards.
During her 15 years at The Oprah Winfrey Show, Becky worked directly with Oprah Winfrey and regular celebrity contributors in the field. As lead field producer at the 1st Annual Clinton Global Foundation event, she conducted one-on-one interviews with Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Shimon Perez and world political thinkers. She has been an "underwater producer" capturing Sir Richard Branson piloting a revolutionary underwater craft and has followed Glenn Close and her canine therapy dogs to a prison. She has also served as a health producer, embedded within a heart transplant unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Becky develops thorough shoot plans and serves as a liaison between creative and technical teams to establish a style, ensuring the highest quality. She directs field shoots, interviews guests, writes, supervises edits and follows projects from concept to post-production, delivering on budget and on deadline.
As Co-publisher of Edible Chicago magazine, part of a James Beard Award-winning group of publications, she edits and writes features about sustainable food and produces premium video content. She has a Masters degree in Public Administration.
